cpux is made by a single independent developer working alone. There is no company, no team, no investors and no organisation attached to it. It is given away free because it was built to be useful, not to be monetised.
Why it's free
I wanted an accurate, honest device inspector on my own phone and ended up building one. Putting it behind a price or a subscription would have meant building something different, so it is free to everyone and ads cover what it costs to run. No subscriptions, no paid unlocks, no feature held back.
How privacy is handled
By keeping the readings and the network apart. Nothing the app reads about your hardware is attached to an ad request, a speed test or a crash report — those carry only what each of them needs, and the privacy policy lists every field. There is no analytics SDK and no profile of you anywhere.
How readings are reported
Honestly. Where a value can't be read on your device, cpux shows a dash instead of a guess. Where a figure is inferred rather than measured, it says so on screen. Raw identifiers sit next to resolved marketing names so you can check the work.

It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Google LLC, ARM Limited, MediaTek, Qualcomm, Samsung, or any other hardware or software vendor whose products it reports on. All product names and trademarks are the property of their respective owners, and appear only to identify the hardware inside your device. cpux is also unaffiliated with any other similarly named system information tool.
